Haber Global highlights latest situation in Corsica

Corsica intends to take important steps towards achieving its independence from France, according to a special reportage aired on the Turkish TV channel Haber Global about the latest situation on the island of Corsica.

According to Report, the story emphasizes that the majority of residents of the island with a population of 350,000 people want independence.

"Already from the beginning of March, important changes are expected in Corsica, which has a special status. French President Emmanuel Macron visited the island in July last year and raised the issue of full autonomy for Corsica. He gave the Corsica Assembly six months for the necessary preparations. Today this deadline has expired, so the issue is expected to come back to the table. In addition, tomorrow there will be a meeting to mark the anniversary of the death of one of the leaders of the Nazione movement, who died after an attack in prison several years ago, and then a protest is expected," the reportage says.
