Turkish, Greek FMs visit Tukiye's quake-hit Hatay province

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu visited Turkiye's Hatay province, Report informs with reference to he Foreign Affairs Ministry of Turkiye.

The ministers will go to the Hatay branch of the Turkish Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) and discuss rescue and humanitarian aid.

Nikos Dendias landed in Turkiye’s Adana Airport today.

There was also a bilateral meeting between Turkish and Greek ministers.

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias is expected to visit Turkiye on February 12 and meet with Greek rescuers in areas affected by earthquakes, Report informs with reference to the Foreign Ministry of Greece.

This visit of the Greek minister to Turkey will be the first since the beginning of the aggravation of relations and the cessation of communication between the two countries' leaders in May 2022.

Nikos Dendias, who will be accompanied by his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu, will meet with members of the Greek Relief Mission, which operates in areas hit by recent earthquakes.

The Foreign Ministry noted that Dendias instructed that the Permanent Mission of Greece in Geneva take measures to provide emergency humanitarian assistance to Turkiye and Syria.
