Germany to provide population of Palestinian territories 72M euros in aid

The German Foreign Ministry will provide a total of 72 million euros in aid to the population of the Palestinian territories in 2022, according to a representative of the German Foreign Ministry, Report informs referring to TASS.

The representative noted that 65 million euros of them are intended for humanitarian aid. At the same time, it is indicated that 94 million euros were allocated in 2021.

At the same time, the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in September 2021 provided the Palestinian side with 100 million euros for bilateral development cooperation projects designed for several years. These commitments cover a two-year period, i.e. 2021 and 2022.

The projects will be implemented through German executing organizations. Political partners in a number of cases are the relevant line ministries of Palestine.

It was also promised to provide 57 million euros for multi-year projects in the Palestinian territories for non-governmental development cooperation in 2021 as part of structural transitional assistance.
