French politician says country's diplomacy has collapsed

The level of French politicians has noticeably decreased over the past 20 years, which suggests the collapse of French diplomacy, said the leader of the French Patriots party, candidate for elections to the European Parliament, politician Florian Philippot, Report informs referring to Russian media.

“We are now witnessing a colossal collapse of French diplomacy. The level of the president, prime minister and ministers is much lower than it was twenty years ago. Compare Stéphane Sejourne and Dominique de Villepin, who was the foreign minister 20 years ago, and you will see this decline, even in manner of speech. He (Stéphane Sejourne - ed.) can't even speak French, and this is not a caricature. He doesn't speak French perfectly, for which he was criticized,” he noted.
