France downgrades GDP growth forecast for 2025

The French government has downgraded its economic growth forecast for 2025, noting the possible consequences of the trade war started by US President Donald Trump, French Finance Minister Eric Lombard said in an interview with TF1 TV channel, Report informs via Interfax.
"We have decided to downgrade the growth forecast to 0.7% given the uncertainty," the minister said.
The initial forecast envisaged 0.9% growth in France's GDP this year.
Lombard noted that the government may raise or lower the GDP growth forecast depending on the progress of negotiations with the US.
