Noting the prevalence of the omicron strain in the country now, the president called on citizens to wear masks, observe social distance and minimize contact with outsiders.

Last week, daily coronavirus infections in the country increased fivefold. Two weeks ago, 2% of the tests were positive, but now this figure is close to a quarter.
