Steve Bannon, a former adviser to former US President Donald Trump, has been taken into custody, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti that Bannon was taken into custody after he was charged with contempt of Congress for refusing to testify to the commission investigating the storming of the Capitol.
"On Monday, November 15, Steve K. Bannon surrendered to the FBI's Washington field office. He was arrested after being indicted on criminal contempt charges for refusing to cooperate with the House committee investigating January 6," the FBI bureau said in a press release.
At the same time, according to the AP, in the afternoon, he will appear before the court.
