Former Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, sentenced to 10 years in the corruption case, was urgently taken from prison to the hospital due to high blood platelet counts.

Report informs citing the RT that doctor Sharif Adnan Malik said the former prime minister of Pakistan was hospitalized on the evening of October 21.

Initially, doctors suspected he had dengue fever, but subsequently came to the conclusion that the deterioration in blood counts was associated with Sharif's medications.

On Monday, October 21, the son-in-law of the former prime minister was arrested after accusing the authorities of poisoning Sharif.

In July 2018, Nawaz Sharif was sentenced to 10 years in prison on corruption charges.
