The head of the European Council, Charles Michel, and the leaders of the five EU member states will discuss the priorities of the new EU political cycle in Vilnius, the press service of the Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda said, Report informs via TASS.

"The President of the European Council, as well as the leaders of Bulgaria, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden and the Czech Republic will exchange views on April 2 in Vilnius and hold a discussion on the priorities of the new political cycle of the community after the elections to the European Parliament," the statement says.

As a result of the elections to be held in June, the parliamentary corps will change and a new alignment of political forces will emerge.

Experts note that one of the meeting participants also has personal goals. Acting Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, who is running for the post of NATO Secretary General, will try to enlist the support of undecided partners and convince those who have doubts. Among them is Bulgaria.
