EU: Washington meeting didn't discuss funding for Ukraine arms deal

At a multilateral meeting on August 18 between European, American and Ukrainian leaders, the issue of financing an arms deal for supplies to Ukraine was not discussed, EU Spokesperson Arianna Podesta said at a briefing in Brussels, Report informs.

She noted that for this reason, she cannot comment on this issue.

"In general, you know, the efforts that we are bringing forward to maintain support for Ukraine, also military support, and also our safe program, and how we are trying to integrate our industries and advance defense spending and innovations together with Ukraine," she added.

On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he presented US President Donald Trump with a package of proposals for the purchase of American weapons worth $90 billion.
