EU Council and European Parliament fail to agree on 2019 budget

Baku. 20 November. REPORT.AZ / The   EU Council and the European Parliament have failed to agree on the EU budget for 2019 at the talks, Report informs citing Interfax.

"The Council regrets that it has not been possible to reach an agreement on the EU budget for 2019 today," Austrian Finance Minister and Council negotiator Hartwig Löger said

According to him, during the process of finding a compromise, the Council tried to find a solution that would arm the Union for the tasks ahead.

"However, I still believe that we will be able to agree on the budget for next year until the end of this year," the Austrian Minister added.
