Charles Michel: Historic steps being taken for closer ASEAN-EU cooperation

The European Union is taking historic steps towards closer cooperation with the ASEAN countries, President of the European Council Charles Michel said, Report informs.
"Taking historic steps for ever closer cooperation between ASEAN and EU. Thanks to (Cambodian) PM Hun Sen for the invitation to address East Asia Summit in Phnom Penh," Charles Michel tweeted.
"Working hard to increase connectivity with Cambodia and broader region."
He expressed hope to see the Cambodian Prime Minister in Brussels in December.
The ASEAN summit is being held in Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, from November 8 to 13, 2022 under the motto "Addressing Challenges together".
