"Strong explosions and collisions on the bridge... in the area of Petare (in Caracas - ed.)," the channel said in a statement.
A number of media outlets inform that the clashes are accompanied by explosions of tear gas grenades and bombs.
218 people have been detained during the protests in recent days, at least 16 people have been killed.
Notably, the speaker of Venezuelan parliament and opposition leader Juan Guido proclaimed himself the acting head of state during a rally in Caracas on Wednesday.
