Bulgaria sees record inflation in July

The National Statistical Institute of Bulgaria announced on Tuesday a record inflation rate in the country, Report informs via TASS.
In July, the inflation in Bulgaria reached 17.3% year on year.
Compared to June, the highest increase in prices in July was noted in the entertainment and culture sector (plus 7.4%), and housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels rose in price by 5.2%. Also, chocolate products and citrus fruits went up by 4.1%, cottage cheese by 3.1%, cheese by 2.9%, sugar and other food products by 2.6%.
However, clothing and footwear became 2% cheaper. The prices for transport (1.7%), and food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.1%) also dropped.
