Britain reveals third person involved in Skripals' case

Baku. 7 Febriuary. REPORT.AZ / According to London, the third Russian, associated with the incident in Salisbury, canceled his flight from the UK at the appointed time and may still be in the country, Report informs citing Daily Telegraph.

The publication notes with reference to the unnamed sources that the suspect is Sergey Fedotov, who arrived in the UK on the same day as Alexander Petrov, and Ruslan Bashirov. London believes that the latest are military intelligence officers and accused them of involvement in the poisoning in Salisbury.

Besides Fedotov checked in for the same flight to Moscow as they did, however, he refused to travel at the last moment. It is not known why Fedotov canceled his trip. "Perhaps he is still walking around Britain," the newspaper writes.

The publication claims that Sergey Fedotov is an employee of the Russian military intelligence and he visited UK not under his real name.

As for one version, he brought a poisonous substance to the country, while according to another, he carried out an intelligence mission and had to inform his "colleagues" when Skripals left the house. It is also possible that Fedotov led the entire operation from the base in London.

Notably, in March of last year there was an attempt of poisoning ex-the Colonel GRU Sergey Skripal, who worked for the British intelligence services, and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury. Britain claims that Russia is involved in poisoning of Skripals with nerve substance A234, however the Russian side denies the allegations.
