Britain recognizes spread of new COVID-19 strain in country

UK Health Minister Sajid Javid has acknowledged that a new variant of the delta strain is spreading in the country, but there is no evidence yet that it could be more dangerous, Report informs, citing RIA Novosti.

"And while there is no reason to believe at this point AY4.2 poses a greater threat, the next variant or the one after that, might do.

"So we need to be ready for what lies around the corner," he said.
