"The Afghan government is ready to make peace with the Taliban under certain conditions," Afghan Foreign Minister Mohammed Haneef Atmar said in an interview with Izvestia, Report informs.
According to him, the Taliban must stop supporting terrorism:
"We are ready to work with the Taliban, to represent them in government, to reconcile with them and to divide power," he said. "We do not have many conditions for this. The future of Afghanistan must be determined by the free will of the Afghan people; Afghanistan must not pose a threat to any other country on external borders and not host a single foreign terrorist in the country.
He added that Afghanistan is ready to cooperate with all countries:
"We would like to turn Afghanistan into a place of cooperation, but not of confrontation and competition. Afghanistan offers partnership to all countries."
