Currently, Ukraine cannot export about 4.5 million tons of grain accumulated in its ports, Martin Frick, director of the Berlin office of the UN World Food Program, said in an interview with DPA, Report informs.

According to him, the problem is the closure of port exits and sea lanes.

Frick noted that the world urgently needs the food exports of Ukraine. He stressed that hunger should not be a military or economic weapon.

The WFP director called for food security for the people of Ukraine and the resumption of food supplies from Ukraine to other countries to alleviate the global food crisis.
