Elchin Guliyev checks combat activity of checkpoints on the border with Armenia

Chief of the State Border Service (SBS), Colonel-General Elchin Guliyev checked the combat activity of the checkpoints located of the Gazakh Border Guard Service located on the state border with Armenia.

Report informs citing the State Border Service that reports were heard on the measures taken to fulfill the instructions of the President of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the President Ilham Aliyev, the operational situation in the service territory of Gazakh Border Guard, the strengthening of defensive positions and machinist- defense measures, as well as execution status of instructions.

The works on formation of modern border protection infrastructure on the state border, building of existing service buildings in the border post, construction of new roads, laying of commercial power supply and gas lines were revived, instructions are given to strengthen this activity.

Local residents Anar Dunyamaliyev, Safarali Abishov, Huseyn Shahverdiyev and Zaur Yusifov, were presented with the medals “For services in the military collaboration” by the State Border Service for distinguishing in the construction works at border checkpoints.
