Women adopting and taking custody of 5 or more children to have right to early retirement

In Azerbaijan, women who have adopted and taken custody of five or more children will be able to retire early.

Report informs that in this regard, the draft amendments to the law "On labor pensions" were submitted for discussion in the first reading at today's parliament session.

The bill notes that the right to early retirement on preferential terms, along with women who have given birth to five or more children and raised them up to the age of eight, will be given to women who have adopted five or more children and raised them up to the age of eight, as well as guardians who have raised five and more children under the age of eight.

At the same time, women who have given birth to five or more children and raised them up to the age of eight are offered the right to early retirement on preferential terms for 5 years, regardless of the number of children.

The draft amendments were put to the vote and adopted in the first reading.
