Pension insurance record required for fixed-term employment contract reduced

The law "On unemployment insurance" is being amended, Report informs.

The amendment proposes to reduce the pension insurance record required under a fixed-term employment contract.

Thus, in the case provided for in the relevant article of the law, the minimum insurance payment will be set for non-disabled persons with at least 30 months of pension insurance record under a fixed-term employment contract for 36 consecutive calendar months before the date of the insured event.

This payment was made for 35 months of insurance in the previous edition.

The bill was discussed at today's meeting of the Parliamentary Committee for Labor and Social Policy and recommended to the plenary session.

The draft amendment was prepared within the implementation of the Decree of the President of Azerbaijan No. 1233 of December 30, 2020, about the application of the Law of Azerbaijan No. 235-VIQ of December 29, 2020 "On the budget of the Unemployment Insurance Fund for 2021".
