The annual report of Azerbaijan's Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) was submitted for discussion at today's plenary session of the Milli Majlis (Parliament).
"If the Azerbaijan Ombudsman Institute prepares a report on the state of human rights and freedoms in Armenia once a year, it will benefit our work. It should be taken into account that there is such experience in some countries," Member of Parliament Elman Nasirov said at the plenary session.
He said that pro-Armenian circles always attack Azerbaijan in this direction:
"It would be helpful to bring the report prepared by the Azerbaijan Ombudsman Institute to the international community's attention regarding the poor state of human rights and freedoms in Armenia."
