Milli Majlis committee approves agreements on Caspian Sea

Baku. 4 February. REPORT.AZ/ A meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Defense, Security and the Fight against Corruption has been held.

Report informs that the First Vice-Speaker, Chairman of the Committee Ziyafat Asgarov spoke about the issues on the agenda.

He recalled that in August 2018, a convention on the status of the Caspian Sea, which has great historical significance, was signed between the Caspian countries.

In the first reading Asgarov presented the bill on amendments to the laws on “Military rank and military service”, “Ensuring the rights and freedoms of persons held in detention facilities”, the Penal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses. According to him, the changes are subject to editing.

The MPs exchanged views on the proposed amendments.
