Electronic cigarettes, hookahs included in list of excisable goods in Azerbaijan

The draft amendments to the Tax Code were submitted for discussion in the first reading at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis.

Report informs that according to the amendments to the Tax Code, the list of excisable goods includes tobacco substitutes, disposable electronic cigarettes, hookahs, and their substitutes.

For each kilogram of tobacco substitutes, an excise rate of 30 manats is applied, and for each unit of disposable electronic cigarettes, hookahs, and their substitutes, the rate is 0.25 manats. The excise tax rate for 1,000 cigarettes is increased from 35 to 38.5 manats.

The bill was put to the vote and adopted in the first reading.
