Series of events held in Azerbaijan Army on Novruz holiday

According to the action plan for the current year, a series of events were held in the military units of the Ministry of Defense on the occasion of the Novruz holiday, Report informs, citing the Defense Ministry.

As part of the events, servicemen visited the graves of Martyrs and met with their families.

At the meetings, the servicemen emphasized that the Azerbaijani state always pays tribute to the memory of the martyrs and asked about the concerns of their families.

The families of martyrs emphasized that the victory in the Patriotic War brought great joy to the Azerbaijani people and expressed gratitude to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for attention and care.

During the events, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.

Speakers at the events noted that the arrival of spring is celebrated joyfully and solemnly in our country.

It was stressed that the Novruz holiday, which originated in ancient times and is one of our national and spiritual values, is highly appreciated by our nation and the state. Speakers also spoke about the importance of preserving the Novruz holiday and passing it on to future generations.

At the festive events, concert programs were held with the participation of the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, the Ideological and Cultural Center of the Ganja Garrison, representatives of culture and art, as well as teams of regional cultural departments.
