There is a remarkable change in the fulfillment of combat duties, Azerbaijan's Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov said in an interview with state media.
"According to the instruction of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, civilians were attracted to respective works in the kitchen, cleaning and so on to involve personnel only in combat training. As a result, more than 20,000 civilians received new jobs," the minister said.
He added that to improve service members' social protection and housing conditions, the president accelerated the commissioning of new military campuses and permanent and duty apartments.
"Meanwhile, salaries and benefits continue to increase," the minister said.
