Media tour to Hadrut, Ergunash heights organized in Azerbaijan

A media tour has been organized to the Hadrut settlement in Azerbaijan's Khojavand district and the Ergunash height, Report informs.

The media tour was organized by the Ministry of Defense on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Hadrut's liberation.

Media representatives, military experts, and servicemen who participated in the Patriotic War took part in the trip.

The media tour participants were told that the liberation of the height was an important event in the history of the 44-day war. The liberation of Hadrut and the Ergunash height laid the foundation for the liberation of Shusha city and other territories of Karabakh. Servicemen who participated in the Patriotic War and anti-terrorist activities in 2023 shared their combat experiences.

One of the servicemen noted that fierce battles were fought for Hadrut, and the Azerbaijani army destroyed enemy positions and liberated the village of Hadrut and the Ergunash height from occupation.

The village of Hadrut and several other villages were liberated from Armenian occupation on October 9 as a result of the counteroffensive of the Azerbaijani army, which began on September 27, 2020. The liberation of Hadrut became one of the key operations that decided the outcome of the war.
