Major General: Engineering Troops cleared over 6,800 hectares of land

This year, the engineer-sapper units of the Azerbaijani army cleared more than 6,800 hectares of land from mines, the Chief of the Engineering Troops of the Azerbaijani Army, Major General Anar Karimov, told Report.
According to him, these areas are currently being cleared of mines by both specially trained dogs and sapper units of the Special Minesweeping Camp of the Engineer Troops: "During this year, the sapper units cleared more than 6,800 hectares of mines and unexploded ordnance in the liberated territories, identified and neutralized 234 anti-personnel, 706 anti-tank mines, and 1,405 unexploded ordnance. Some of the unexploded ordnance found in the liberated territories is also destroyed at the Godekburun training center."
