Azerbaijani National Hero Albert Agarunov's memory honored in Baku

Under the instruction of the Azerbaijani Minister of Defense, the memory of Albert Agarunov, National Hero of Azerbaijan, was honored, Report informs, citing the Defense Ministry.

First, servicemen visited the grave of the National Hero in the Alley of Shahids (Martyrs). Then, the monument to Albert Agarunov erected in the Narimanov district of Baku was visited and flowers were laid on it.

After a minute of silence in memory of the heroic sons of the Motherland, who died as Shahids for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and for the defense of Azerbaijani lands, the speakers emphasized the glorious life of Albert Agarunov and his heroism in battles. It was noted that the Azerbaijani hero sacrificed his life for the independence of his Homeland.

It is especially noteworthy that Albert Agarunov volunteered for the front as soon as hostilities began in Nagorno-Karabakh, and died heroically on May 8, 1992, in the battles for the defense of Shusha city.
