Since November 2020, 282 people have been victims of landmines, 46 of whom have lost their lives, and 236 have been injured, said Vugar Suleymanov, chairman of ANAMA's Board of Directors, Report informs.

According to him, since November 10, 2020, 68,300 hectares of land have been cleared of mines. 82,522 mines were detected and neutralized.

Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories of the Karabakh Economic Region (except Shusha), Bashir Hajiyev, said that 26.2% of Aghdam district, 22.7% of Fuzuli, 3.5% of Khojavand, 15.2% of Khojaly, and 15.1% of Tartar have already been cleared of mines:

"Within the framework of President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Aghdam, the foundation of 11 facilities was laid during the past year, thus the design work of those facilities was started, and most of them are already nearing completion. Currently, the priority areas to be demined in Aghdam are Kangarli, Saricali, and Khidirli villages (together with buffer zones), the Hindarkh-Aghdam highway, the canal from Khachinchay reservoir, and other inner-city projects."

Sultan Hajiyev, Deputy Head of the Interagency Center for Reconstruction and Rehabilitation of Liberated Areas at the Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, said that Great Britain, the United States, and Hungary are the countries that provide the most support to Azerbaijan in demining work: "Many countries provide aid, but these aids are still not enough to support Azerbaijan."
