​Statistics of appeals to Press Council for rewarding of journalists revealed

Baku. 10 June. REPORT.AZ/ "The Press Council (SC) has received about 100 addresses related to the provision of awards on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the national press", Report was told by the Chairman of the Press Council, Aflatun Amashov. 

According to him, editoring houses and journalistic organizations can address themselves to the Presidential Administration in connection with the awarding of their employees: "This issue is also reflected in the order of President Ilham Aliyev, signed on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of the national press.

The Press Council will try to award experienced journalists with work experience and merits in development of the press."

Mr. Amashov said that the addresses regarding awarding will be accepted until mid-July, "As long as there is time. It is possible that the winners will be set up until July 20. The award ceremony will take place on the Day of National Press, on July 22".

On June 2, President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the celebration of the 140th anniversary of the national press.
