Smear campaign against Azerbaijan exposed in Mexican press

The well-known Mexican newspaper Milenio published an article entitled "Exposing the myth of the fabricated humanitarian crisis in Karabakh". The article condemns the manipulation and smearing activities carried out by Armenia under the guise of the crisis in Karabakh, draws attention to the provocative and hypocritical policy of Armenia, as well as the double standards that Azerbaijan is facing, Azerbaijani Embassy in Mexico told Report.

The article noted that groundless and biased accusations about the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, even the fabrication of "genocide" have been voiced recently, and stated that the Armenian propaganda, which is far from the truth, about the existence of a "humanitarian crisis" in the region has failed.

In the article, the report of the well-known expert on international law, Rodney Dixon, states that Luis Ocampo's claims regarding the occurrence of genocide in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan are evaluated as baseless and flawed. It is also emphasized that the rabbis called on Armenia to stop using the Holocaust and the term "genocide" as propaganda.

It is noted that while the Armenian population of the region has the opportunity to obtain food through alternative routes, the news that they live in conditions of hunger as a result of the closure of the Lachin road is only surprising. It is reported that this is part of the propaganda policy of the Armenian diaspora and its patrons, who cannot accept the restoration of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

At the same time, instead of politicizing the humanitarian issue, the calls of several world countries to use the Aghdam-Khankandi road proposed by Azerbaijan were not welcomed by Armenians, and Armenia refused at the last minute the agreement reached on the opening of both routes through the mediation of international actors.

In the end, the fact that the experts of the "civilized world" and media representatives do not mention the truths of the current scenario, which is undermining the stable peace and normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and those who are suffering from fabricated “food crisis” should take into account the sufferings of hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis who were displaced from their homes for thirty years.
