MEDIA represented at ODIHR conference

Media Development Agency (MEDIA) is represented at the conference of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), Report informs.

The head of the international relations and strategic planning working group of the Media Development Agency Rasim Bagirov is attending ODIHR's traditional meeting held in Poland.

Bagirov said that the role and importance of the media are increasing in an era of consistent development of information technologies and global communication. MEDIA works towards supporting media development, continuing institutional building works, and at the same time, promoting the application of communication technologies and innovations in this field.

It was emphasized that the freedom of journalists is ensured and their honor and dignity are protected during the fulfillment of their professional duties within the framework of the law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Media".
