Chief of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, Colonel-General Arzu Rahimov, has signed an order to award martyred journalists Maharram Ibrahimov and Siraj Abishov.

According to the order, Ibrahimov Maharram Ali and Abishov Siraj Abish were awarded the medal "For services in the education of military patriotism."

A vehicle carrying journalists hit an anti-tank mine on June 4 in the village of Susuzlug, Kalbajar region. As a result, AZERTAC correspondent Maharram Ibrahimov, AZTV operator Siraj Abishov, and deputy head of the Kalbajar District Executive Power in the Susuzlug village Aliyev Arif Aghalar were killed, while four others were injured.

On June 14, President Ilham Aliyev awarded Abishov Siraj Abish Aliyev Arif Agalar and Ibrahimov Maharram Ali, who served in the liberated territories, with the 3rd degree order "For Service to the Fatherland."
