Fuad Huseynaliyev: Implementation of agreements would have excluded need for anti-terrorist activities

The local anti-terrorist activities launched by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in Karabakh are aimed at restoring the constitutional order of the country, Director of the Report News Agency Fuad Huseynaliyev said on the air of the CBC TV channel, according to Report.

"Armenia hopes that it can always walk away from its obligations and not fulfill them. After the Patriotic War of 2020, the first sign that it was true to it word would have been the complete withdrawal of Armenian armed formations from the Karabakh region. But they continued to stay there, and the anti-terrorist measures being carried out now are aimed at destroying their elements. If the terms of the Trilateral Agreement were fulfilled in a timely manner, there would be no need for current measures. Therefore, he noted, the responsibility for what is happening lies with those separatist forces that are currently holding the Armenian population of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan hostage.

Another guest of the program, the editor-in-chief of the information portal Media.Az Jamila Alakbarova noted that the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Armenia is not involved in the "military conflict in Karabakh" once again speaks of his recognition of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
