Foreign press representatives visit Russia-Turkey Joint Monitoring Center

Foreign media representatives visiting Azerbaijan visited the liberated city of Aghdam.

According to Report, they were informed about the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center activities in the Aghdam region.

Notably, the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center, established under a memorandum signed by the Russian and Turkish defense ministers, was launched on January 30. The Center's primary purpose is to monitor the implementation of the provisions arising from the trilateral statement and the agreements reached.

The total area of the Turkish-Russian Joint Monitoring Center is about 4 hectares. There are administrative and living rooms of 65 modular service offerings in the area. All rooms are equipped with the necessary equipment - water, electricity, and heating. Besides, a joint monitoring center, a briefing room, a canteen for 100 people, a medical center, a laundry, a hairdresser, a tailor, and a shop for the use of both parties exist in the Center. The Center also includes a water station, a transformer, a generator, a parking lot, two outdoor sports camps, and two indoor gyms, food, and cold storage in the area. The whole place was fenced along the perimeter with four observation-control towers and a daily observation system. Restrooms with the necessary equipment have also been established for the recreation of the staff.
