Baku. 28 June. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan's well-known photojournalist has died today.

Report informs, Yashar Khalilov died at the age of 84.

Y. Khalilov was born on April 11, 1934 in Baku. The popular photojournalist started his career at the sports department of "Azerbaijan Youth" newspaper.

He was invited to “Azertag” State News Agency in 1959. Y. Khalilov was a well-known and highly respected person in the USSR. He is the only photojournalist in the country who participated as a photojournalist in 5 Olympics (Munich, Montreal, Moscow, Los Angeles and Seoul). He was awarded the "Photo 6" in Japan and Grand Prix for Olympic Shooting.

Y. Khalilov was the laureate of the "Golden Pen" award, honored journalist of the republic and Honored Art Worker.
