Karabakh must be cleared of mines, Swedish traveler Sofia Granstrom, who is on a visit to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, told reporters, Report informs.

"It's very interesting to see with my own eyes the demining process, what is happening here, as well as the people who clear these territories from mines," she said.

The traveler said she had seen landmines before when she was in Cambodia.

She called the mine problem, which prevents the return of civilians to these territories, a great danger.

A delegation of more than 30 travelers from the Club 100 organization arrived in Karabakh and East Zangazur today. The travelers from Sweden will spend three days in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan, where they will get acquainted with the destruction committed by Armenia during the occupation, as well as with the progress of restoration work.

Over the past 2 years, representatives of the main international travel clubs - Etic, MTP, TCC, NomadMania and the Turkish Travel Club have visited Karabakh and East Zangazur. This trip is the 7th one.

The dark tourism trip is important for raising awareness about the situation in the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation.
