Russian political scientist: Armenia is trying to create discord between Azerbaijan and Russia

"Armenia is trying to create discord and start a war between Azerbaijan and Russia," Daria Grevtsova, deputy director of the Institute for Political Studies, told the Russian bureau of Report.

According to her, Armenia is trying to create discord between Azerbaijan and Russia with its provocations - to force official Baku to blame Moscow for exerting sufficient pressure on Yerevan due to the non-fulfillment of all conditions of the tripartite statement dated November 10, 2020.

"This could become a source of mistrust between the two countries and eventually lead to war. Armenians want Russian soldiers to fight for Armenian interests," said Grevtsova.

She also noted that by causing provocations in Karabakh, Armenians want to gain certain advantages. However, there is no need to wait for a large-scale war: "Armenians are afraid of the Azerbaijani Army. They saw how quickly Azerbaijan returned their lands. If there is a war, the Armenians will be defeated."
