Russian MFA: Prospects are good for restoration of transport links in South Caucasus

"We see good prospects for reaching agreements on unblocking transport links in the region, taking into account the balance of interests of all parties," Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova told her weekly briefing, the Russian bureau of Report says.

Maria Zakharova noted that international transportation on unblocked routes will be carried out on the basis of international agreements and national legislation of each of the parties.

"We stand for the consistent implementation of the November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021 agreements. They also relate to unblocking of communications in the South Caucasus, and this important task is being dealt with by a trilateral working group co-chaired by the vice-prime ministers of the three states," the spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
