"When visiting Aghdam, we see the huge work we have ahead of us to restore not only the city, but the region, in general," said Emin Huseynov, a special representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the part of Aghdam liberated from occupation, during the Aghdam visit of journalists from Turkic Council countries.

"The city is ruined. You can see in what condition our historical and cultural objects are. Occupants kept animals in our mosques. They tried to insult our history, our culture. They ruined everything here, even without living in this city," Huseynov noted, adding that works are underway to restore the city 'in line with the leading world standards.'

"We will turn Karabakh into paradise. The population of Aghdam will reach 100,000 people, and it will be the fourth biggest city in the country. Aghdam has a great potential in developing solar energy, and renewable energy can be used here," the special representative said.

"Naturally, we will attract our friendly countries, especially Turkic-speaking states. Equal conditions will be created for all. What is most important is that all issues must be considered in the context of the total recovery of liberated lands," Emin Huseynov said.
