Members of the NomadMania travelers club have commenced their visit to Aghdam, Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The visit began with a trip to the Martyrs' Alley, which had been completely destroyed by Armenians during the period of occupation.
During their visit, travelers were informed about the acts of vandalism committed by Armenian armed forces in Aghdam and other settlements during the occupation. Along with ethnic cleansing, the destruction of historical and cultural monuments in the area formed the basis of Armenia's occupation policy. Therefore, not only historical sites but also cemeteries were destroyed, and remains from graves were extracted and eliminated.
The travelers also explored significant landmarks, including the Juma Mosque and the Imarat complex in Aghdam. Detailed information about these monuments was shared with the group.
Additionally, the delegation received insights into the ongoing clearance of mines and unexploded ordnance in the area since its liberation. They were briefed on the extensive reconstruction efforts underway and the resettlement of residents into rebuilt villages in Aghdam.
