Muhammad Asif Noor: Second Karabakh war brought Pakistan & Azerbaijan closer

The second Karabakh war has brought both Pakistan and Azerbaijan more closely than ever before, Muhammad Asif Noor, chairman of the Global Business Alliance and CEO at Belt and Road Consultants Pvt, said in an interview with Report.

“Pakistan and Turkiye supported immensely in this war and helped in any way possible both morally and strategically. This war has also brought both Pakistan and Azerbaijan more closely than ever before. Wherever I have traveled across Azerbaijan, whenever I met local people, they have shown their utmost respect and unconditional love for Pakistan than ever before,” he said.

Meanwhile, he said that the anti-Azerbaijani resolution that was recently adopted by French National Assembly and Senate is a result of strong lobbying of the Armenian diaspora working round the clock in various European countries including France.

“I think this is an uncalled-for resolution from the French Senate and as the European Union is calling for dialogue and discussion between the two countries. This might jeopardize the peace process,” he noted.
