German ambassador: Reconstruction of Karabakh - project of generations

The reconstruction of Karabakh is a project of generations, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ralf Baumann told journalists, according to Report.

He said reliability is one of the main conditions for any investments. Karabakh has many opportunities but the mine threat is still there.

"Demining will take much time, therefore, I think any investor should take this into account," he said.

Speaking about the potential of the Middle Corridor, the ambassador noted that the South Caucasus countries should improve their infrastructure, offer attractive conditions for investors in order to fully use their potential as a trade hub.

"Germany is part of the European Union. When I speak about Germany, I speak about Europe. The Asian market is very important for Europe," he said, adding that in the past, most of the trade flows came through Russia and now this indicator is on decline.

"This is a new opportunity for the countries of the South Caucasus," the ambassador said.
