Turkish Ambassador: Efforts should be increased to resolve Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

"OSCE is a very important international organization in terms of security and stability in Europe," Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Erkan Özoral said.

Report informs that, according to him, one of the most important tasks facing OSCE is the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict: "Turkey is a member of the OSCE Minsk Group. Efforts should be increased to resolve the conflict as soon as possible."

"Unfortunately, the problem remains unresolved. The parameters for the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are clear. Parameters proposed by both the UN and the OSCE envisage the settlement of the conflict within the framework of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan in accordance with international law. However, Azerbaijani territories have not been liberated from the occupation yet. Therefore, we are not satisfied with the activity of the OSCE in this regard. All the same, we support the OSCE as the most important mechanism for the settlement of the conflict and we hope the Minsk Group Co-Chairs will find ways to solution."
