The territory of Karabakh must be completely demined, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) director of the Health and Environmental Aid Department, Dr. Abdullah bin Saleh Al-Muallem told Report in Zangilan.
"We are very pleased to have the opportunity to participate in the third international conference on demining activities. Mines pose a real threat to humanity not only in Azerbaijan but also in many other parts of the world," he said.
Al-Moallem noted that the Humanitarian Aid Center provides support to various countries, such as Yemen, Iraq, and Azerbaijan, doing everything possible to assist them in the destruction of landmines.
"We share the opinion of the Azerbaijani government regarding the mine threat and hope that the mined areas will be cleared as soon as possible to help the environment and people's lives recover, so that the population can live a normal life without being threatened by landmines," he added.
The 3rd international conference on Mitigating Environmental Impact of Landmines: Resource Mobilization for Safe and Green Future kicked off in Zangilan today.
