Baku. 1 June. REPORT.AZ / In Caracas, the capital of Venezuela subway has became free due to the lack of paper in the country for the production of travel tickets, Report informs citing the Reuters.
The authorities ordered 53 stations of the capital metro to open turnstiles and allow passengers without tickets.
This measure is related with the termination of raw materials supply for the production of subway equipment, including paper for the manufacture of tickets.
Venezuela is facing a severe economic crisis and has to save on costs, including the transport system.
Every day the subway in Caracas is used by more than two million people.
