Trans-Caspian International Transport Route to become green and electronic corridor

It is possible to turn the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route) into a green and electronic corridor, connecting all neighboring states in the future, said Taleh Ziyadov, General Director of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC, Report informs.

According to him, the Middle Corridor can become the main corridor connecting the east and the west in the next ten years:

"The concept will have a significant impact on the next decade because the world is changing, and the concept will be crucial. The fact that Baku Port became the first eco-port in 2019 gave impetus to this, and the neighboring ports also started to move in this direction.

"Aktau port became the second port in the Caspian basin. We believe that other ports will also receive eco-port certification. This is important so that the Middle Corridor becomes a green corridor in the future and becomes a fully sustainable corridor. The Middle Corridor will become one of the most important corridors in the future."
