The decline in the water level in the Caspian Sea did not affect the operation of the Port of Baku, Taleh Ziyadov, General Director of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC (Baku Port), said at the ceremony of signing the agreement on cooperation with Albayrak Group of Turkiye, Report informs.
"The level of the Caspian Sea has been observed to rise and fall in different periods. There is currently a descent. The depth of the channel of Baku Port is about 7 meters, which is quite a good indicator. The current situation does not create a problem for sea transportation from Central Asia to Azerbaijan, and no difficulties are expected in the coming years," Ziyadov noted.
