Sharifov: Peace in region to allow creating another important connection - Zangazur Corridor

When peace comes to the South Caucasus region, another important connection will emerge - the Zangazur Corridor, Samir Sharifov, Minister of Finance and Governor for Azerbaijan at the ADB, said at the panel discussion “Middle Corridor: Reshaping the Euro-Asia Connectivity,” according to Report’s correspondent from Tbilisi.

“The Middle Corridor is not only a railway or road connection. I would call it a branched corridor. Another branch of this corridor is a railway connection from Azerbaijan to Georgia, then along the Black Sea to Europe. I believe that now that peace will inevitably come here, an additional transport connection will emerge - the Zangazur Corridor,” he said.
